Violet900 UVC LED Light 265nm 2495mW 36 LEDs 48deg 48V 86W 89cm 3m cable

This product is a complete, ready-to-connect UV-C LED luminaire for professional irradiation and disinfection applications. It carries 36 LEDs with a total radiant power of 2495 mW at a peak wavelength of 265 nm, and a beam angle of 48°.

Unlike a bare LED module, the Violet900 is a finished luminaire. The LEDs sit in a hard-anodised aluminium housing that acts as the heat sink, the optics are held in a stainless steel frame with silicone sealing, and the unit is supplied with a three-metre silicone connection cable with open ends. Protection class IP65 and a stainless steel fastening system make it suitable for washdown environments and industrial process lines.

The luminaire is designed for constant-voltage operation in the 30–50 V range and supports PWM dimming and remote on/off, so it can be integrated into a process control system and switched exactly when irradiation is needed. Standby power consumption is minimal. The housing is rated for an operating temperature of -40 °C to +60 °C at the front of the case, which covers cold stores and hot production environments alike.

The germicidal effect of UV-C radiation is well documented: photons in the 250–280 nm range are absorbed by the DNA and RNA of micro-organisms and form dimers that prevent replication, which inactivates bacteria, moulds and viruses. The decisive design parameter is the dose, that is the irradiance on the target surface multiplied by the exposure time, so the radiant power, the beam angle and the working distance all have to be considered together when sizing an application.

The beam angle is the parameter that decides how this luminaire performs in your application. A narrow beam concentrates the available radiant power into a small spot and gives a high irradiance at a long working distance; a wide or oval beam covers a broader area at a proportionally lower irradiance. The 48° beam of this version should be matched to the distance between the luminaire and the surface being treated, and the resulting dose calculated from the irradiance at that distance and the exposure time.

The luminaire carries CE, RoHS and REACH conformity and is classified in risk group RG 3 according to EN 62471. It is built to order and is intended exclusively for integration by qualified personnel.

Important safety information

UV-C and UV-B radiation is harmful to skin and eyes. This product is intended exclusively for professional and industrial use and must never be operated where people, animals or plants can be exposed to the direct or reflected radiation. Suitable protective equipment, interlocks and shielding are mandatory, and the applicable national regulations on optical radiation at the workplace must be observed. The product is supplied as a component for integration by qualified personnel.

Made in Germany – for reliable quality

This Lumistrips light engine is developed and manufactured at our production site in Germany. The PCB assembly is produced on controlled SMD equipment and the finished unit is visually inspected and electrically tested. We use specified, traceable emitter components and defined production parameters so that electrical load, wavelength and radiant output start from a repeatable, documented design.

For UV and infrared products, semiconductor ageing and radiant-output depreciation are normal and depend strongly on junction temperature, drive current and operating conditions. Controlled PCB design, assembly and testing do not remove that ageing; they make the starting performance repeatable and help the product operate within its specified electrical, thermal and lifetime limits. That is the practical difference between a professional light engine and an anonymous module selected only by nominal wavelength.
